Instructions: Now that you have proven that there is a problem, you must research possible solutions to the problem. You must turn in this research sheet completed with two articles attached that show possible solutions and why they would work

III. There are many possible solutions to this problem. The possible solutions are: (Two articles must be attached and annotated bibliography)
Some possible solutions to the problem of labeling genetically modified foods do require drastic measures or a great deal of effort at all. One possible way to solve the issue would be to simply require companies that produce genetically modified foods to label their products. A law should be passed to do just that.

IV. The solution I (we) propose is: (This section will become your proposed legislation. Be sure to include what agency will implement your law, proposed cost if any and effective date)
The solution that we propose is passing a law requiring every company that produces GM foods to put labeling saying so on all GM foods produced, as well as a list of ingredients. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will implement this law. This law should be put into action as soon as possible. Cost would be whatever it costs the companies to put extra labeling on their packaging.

V. I (we) think this solution will work because: (You must use factual information to prove your solution will work)
This solution would be effective because it still gives people who cannot afford organic food the option of buying cheaper genetically modified food. For those who do not want to consume the chemicals and other potentially harmful ingredients in GM foods and can afford organic foods, passing a bill that states that companies must label GM foods and list the ingredients would grant the consumer the knowledge of knowing whatt they are purchasing and eating. This fulfills the customer's right to knowledge, while still providing GM foods to those who cannot afford food without it.
